“Love Hip Hop” Star On Trial For Sexual Assault Of A Minor!

VH1 didn’t say anything about THIS in the trailer for Season 3 of Love & Hip Hop!  

New cast member Mandeeces Harris (aka Yandy Smith’s baby daddy) is about to stand trial for allegedly having sexual relations with a teenage girl!  In fact, jury selection for the trial began Wednesday in Hackensack, NJ.

Harris is charged with performing various sexual acts with a 15-year-old girl and inappropriately touching her at his former home in Lodi 3  years ago.

Between September 2009 and April 2010, prosecutors allege that Harris requested and received oral sex from the teenager.  They also allege that he fondled her on various occasions.  Harris was arrested later that year and charged with aggravated sexual assault, criminal sexual contact and child endangerment. If convicted, he faces up to 20 years in prison!

Here’s the clincher.  According to Vh1′s Love & Hip Hop website:

Mandeecees is the longtime boyfriend of entertainment powerhouse, Yandy Smith. The couple has been together for 6 years and recently were blessed with their first son, Omere.

If Harris has been in a relationship with Yandy for 6 years, that means that they would have been together when he was allegedly engaging in this sexual misconduct 3 years ago!  And Yandy didn’t feel the need to clear this situation up before she had a baby with him and brought him on her reality show?

Suspect.

Harris currently remains free without bail and he was not present during jury selection.  Court officials expect to have a full panel of jurors today, and the trial is scheduled to commence on January 29.
