Love Hip Hop Cast Party + Erica Mena Allegedly Engaged!

Update: According to Global Grind, since the story hit, Erica and Rich have released conflicting statements.

Erica told the site:
“I didn’t know that we were going to tell people about it! I guess Rich decided to blurt it out. It wasn’t done intentionally. I didn’t know we were gonna announce it last night. I wasn’t expecting it. I thought we were going to keep it on the DL, but I guess he felt it was
the right time.”

And Rich Dollaz, explained:
“No, I’m not! I’m not engaged. Rich Dollaz is not engaged. What happened was, I ain’t gonna say shorty was lying or nothin’, but Erica had taken some pictures on Instagram of some wedding magazine. A girl [at the party] asked her about it and asked if she was getting married and I SARCASTICALLY said ‘Yeah, we’re getting married. Uh huh, next week we’re getting married.’ She took that, and I don’t know if the music was loud and the liquor was flowing, and she could be serious. But I was not. I was not.”

We spoke to Jasmine from the Jasmine Brand, who originally broke the story, and she stands by her original statement.

Jasmine claims she was sober all night, Rich however, had been drinking. She maintains she would never make up a story and Erica’s instagram posts of wedding mags confirm they had some type of plan involving marriage.

Who do you believe? Is this another Kenya Moore situation (she thought Walter was gonna propose to her)?

It’s about that time again! Last night in New York, VH1, Monami Entertainment and NFGTV celebrated the third season of the hit series Love & Hip Hop with a private bash at Meatpacking District lounge Kiss & Fly.

Over 400 guests packed the venue to get a preview of the premiere episode which was followed by a Q&A moderated by Hot 97’s Laura Styles and J. Medina.We’re hearing this new season will give the Atlanta cast a run for their money in the drama department!

Love was definitely in the air with two of it’s cast members Erica Mena and Rich Dollaz (who manages reality star/singer Olivia)as they revealed to our friends over at The Jasmine Brand that they are officially engaged! In an interview, Rich Dollaz spilled the beans…

the Jasmine Brand:

We were all over your Instagram and we noticed some wedding ‘stuff’. What’s up with with that?

Erica Mena:

Ummmm.

Rich Dollaz:

Because we’re gonna get married, soon. Probably this summer.

the Jasmine Brand:

Are you engaged, in real life?

Rick Dollaz:

Yes, we are engaged. That’s my girl.

It will be interesting to see how this new reality couple plays out on television. But we have to ask, are all these new “reality couples” really in love or hoping for spinoffs? What do you think?
