Jay-Z once told us that he would “not lose,” and years later he’s still making good on that promise!
The hip-hop mogul recently signed on to compose a musical score for the upcoming movie The Great Gatsby. You read that right ladies and gentleman, a musical score. (Not to be confused with submitting a song for the soundtrack -there’s a difference.)
Jay-Z will be working with The Bullitts on the new songs that he will be expected to deliver, and it was Jeymes Samuel of The Bullitts who announced the collabo on his Twitter page:
Although details of Hov’s involvement haven’t been confirmed, the last movie soundtrack that Jay was completely responsible for, American Gangster, was a huge success. However, The Great Gatsby is a completely different movie, so we’re excited to see what he does with it!
