Nas and Lauryn Hill are finishing up the first leg of the Life Is Good/Black Rage tour tonight in Los Angeles. The pair has been on tour all month in the U.S. bringing the Life is Good album to fans, and Lauryn has been testing out new material with a mix of her Fugee classics. The irony of this tour, both artists owe more than one million dollars to Uncle Sam for bad taxes. The State of Georgia is banking on this tour being a success since last month, when they filed documents that requested Nas’ wages be garnished to collect the $1, 083, 435 he owes from 2006, 2007, 2009, and 2010.
Ms. Hill also needs to knock it out of the park, since earlier this year she plead guilty to tax invasion. The former Fugee could face up to a year in prison, but reps say she plans to pay back every cent. The US magistrate agreed to have her sentence moved from early October to Late November, which just so happens to be right as this tour is ending.
Check out what Nas has to say about his good friend Lauryn now, and how their relationship has come full circle.
