Rihanna’s been taking a lot of flack over the outcome of her 777 Tour. While her concept of 7 shows in 7 cities over 7 days was groundbreaking, it ended up being a logistical nightmare for many involved.
Most of the 200 journalists Rihanna took along with her complained that they had not seen Rihanna since the first day of the tour. And fans who were invited along said that travel times and shows were repeatedly delayed.
In a UK radio interview, Rihanna addressed the complaints and defended her 777 tour, calling it “fun but exhausting.” She went on to say:
“It was different having to do your job but also have 200 guests come along with you. They all want you to host a party every time you get on the plane after a show but you really only have that time to sleep until you get to the next country. Sometimes it was a two-hour ride to the next country and that was all the sleep you would get.”
Rihanna explained that she had to “use her time wisely:”
“I knew I had seven countries and seven shows and I had to save my voice. I didn’t go crazy. I didn’t party too hard. I did have fun though. I tried to get everybody involved but sometimes you just wish you could give more.”
Speaking of “giving more”…more outtake photos have surfaced of Rihanna’s nearly nude spread with GQ magazine. You’re welcome fellas.
