Elmo Pupeeter’s Accuser Exposed!!

You know what they say about karma right?  The man who falsely accused Elmo puppeteer Kevin Clash of having sex with him while he was underage is getting a taste of his own medicine.  He has been identified…and some of his previous scams have been revealed in the process!

The man pictured above (looking like a long lost member of B2K) is none other than Sheldon Stephens, a 24-year-old aspiring con-artist model and actor,  who anonymously accused Clash of engaging in a sexual relationship with him when he was 16 years old.  Days later, after the damage had been done to Clash’s reputation, Stephens recanted his allegations and admitted he was of legal age when the relationship began.

The reasons why Stephens lied in the first place were not clearly specified, but a look at his criminal history might give us a clue.

In 2009, musc manager Darian Pollard reported to the Beverly Hills PD that Stephens, his former intern, had held him up at knife point after learning he was fired, and stole $250,000 worth of jewelry, including a “white gold necklace with diamonds” and a “white gold ring with diamond baguettes.”

Stephens then hopped on a flight from LA to Pennsylvania, where he was later arrested in the airport, with the jewelry on!  However, two weeks later the charges were dropped against  him.

In 2010, Stephens was also charged with writing a bad check, although that charge was also dismissed after he made good with the Harrisburg business he’d written the check at.

Stephens, who lives with his mom, seems to be getting away with a lot of ish lately.  His mom is not so lucky.   48-year-old Felicia Stephens has been charged with attempted murder and felony aggravated assault earlier this year, after she allegedly stabbed her husband with scissors. She is currently out out on bail and is due in court next month.

Must be genetic.

Stephens for his part, is probably hoping that his luck won’t wear out regarding his false accusations of Kevin Clash.  And it looks like it might not!  Although Clash would be well within his rights to go after Stephens for the false accusations, the voice of Elmo released this statement:

“I am relieved that this painful allegation has been put to rest. I will not discuss it further.”
