Hip Hollywood recently caught up with Cory Hardrict and Mo McRae at the official screening of their pilot, South LA: Angel City. The two long time friends decided to create a TV show that reflected life in South Los Angeles, a subject they felt had not been done justice. The two worked on the project for just about a year with a small budget – but a lot of heart.
The pair enlisted the help of close friends and fellow actors Omari Hardwick , Dennis L.A. White, and Aisha Hinds to complete their cast. Hardrict admits that during shooting things almost got dangerous as he didn’t always follow city permit rules; which resulted in some close encounters with the LAPD!
The pair will be shopping around the pilot early next year with hopes to get a time slot on a cable network.
