Sky’s The Limit For ‘Skyfall’s’ Naomie Harris!

Naomie Harris has some big stilettos to fill! Her new film, Skyfall, is out in theaters now and we anticipate Ms. Harris will become an “overnight” sensation after this weekend!

The gorgeous Brit covers the latest edition of Hollywood Reporter with the other cast members and looks smashing! She plays one of the two Bond girls, hired on the recommendation of director Danny Boyle, who had worked with her on 28 Days Later, and she likely will have a recurring role in future films. Naomie remembers feeling guilty when she messed up a shot. “I was shooting and I left my safety catch on the gun, and everyone said, ‘Fire!’ — and there was nothing. That was a massive wait, and I felt awful.”

Following in the footsteps of actresses like Jane Seymour, Halle Berry and Eva Green, Naomie Harris (and Bond Girl #2 Bérénice Marlohe) take on the the role with different approaches.

Director Sam Mendes allowed both actresses to take some creative license with the parts, “We did one meeting with Daniel [Craig] and Sam [Mendes] considering, for instance, my scenes and what was our own point of views or own specific moments,” Marlohe said. “And from that, we never had any rehearsals.”

“For me, it was really liberating because…I’ve never really has the director give you that much freedom,” she added

But Harris didn’t tweak the writers’ vision for Eve. “I love my character,” she said. “I love the character’s journey. I was pleased with everything. So I didn’t really have anything to add to that, but there is a sense of freedom you get when you’re given that much free reign. I was a great experience.”
