Lil’ Wayne Back In Hospital; Tweets “I’m Good, Everybody”

Earlier this evening TMZ reported that rap star Lil’ Wayne was in ICU after suffering multiple seizures. The celebrity news website also stated that Wayne’s mother was on a plane en route to Los Angeles and “all major decisions about Wayne’s health (including the decision to discontinue life support) will not be made until she arrives.”

However, Lil’ Wayne threw a rock in “near death” reports when he sent out a short statement from his official Twitter account:

I’m good everybody. Thx for the prayers and love.

TMZ still claims that their sources at the hospital tell them “Wayne is still in critical condition in the ICU … but stabilizing” but removed a story saying he was being read his “last rites.” So what really happened?

HipHollywood reported that earlier this week Weezy was rushed to Cedars-Sinai Hospital in L.A. after suffering multiple seizures. He was released Wednesday, but just hours later one of his bodyguards found him in his room, on the floor and unconscious. After it was reported that Wayne was back at Cedars Sinai, the blogs went crazy and news spread that the rapper was near death.

HipHollyood reached out to Weezy’s publicist who stated:

“We can confirm Lil Wayne did have a seizure and that he is recovering.”

Also his rap friends and family seemed to confirm the rap star is alive and well. For instance his “ready to ride” partner, T.I., tweeted the following:

Young Money label mate Mac Maine, Birdman, and brand ambassador Karen Civil were the first to claim Lil’ Wayne was not in an “induced coma” or “breathing through tubes” as TMZ reported.
