After dropping a few verses (and causing a little ruckus) this past year, J. Cole has finally announced the name and release date of his sophomore album. Called Born Sinner, the new album will be released on January 28 of next year, which is also the date of Cole’s 28th birthday.
Word on the street is that Cole had been putting the release of his own music on hold until after his close friend Kendrick Lamar dropped his album. But now that Lamar’s good kid M.A.A.D city album has been successfully released, everything’s a go! (As a side note, Cole and Lamar are also working on a joint album together, although a release date hasn’t been given yet.)
Born Sinner is the follow-up album to Cole’s critically-acclaimed debut – Cole World: The Sideline Story. Will you be copping the new album when it hits stores?
