Chris Brown Says He Worked Hard For Rihanna’s Forgiveness

Music superstar Chris Brown has “worked hard” to win back girlfriend Rihanna’s love, trust, and commitment – and it seems to have paid off (minus the whole Karrueche Tran era of course).

Brown told Page Sixduring Elton John’s Oscar viewing party that he and Rihnanna “are really happy” and “back together.” He also claims that Elton John has supported his struggles. “I met Elton about a year ago, and he’s been a good friend to me,” Brown revealed, adding, “So it is great to be here tonight to support him.”

About that Seth McFarlane joke at the Academy Awards in which Macfarlane compared the “unspeakably violent” movie Django Unchained to “date night for Rihanna and Chris Brown”, the singer responded, “People attack me and criticize me, it happens all the time. But they don’t know me, and they don’t know us. It doesn’t bother me any more. Other people can judge us but they don’t know anything.”

He added: “I’ve learned a lot since that night and I’ve grown up. I was very young and I took a lot of stuff, fame, for granted.

In an open and honest interview with UK’s Mirror, Brown admitted that winning Rihanna’s love back had taken many months of “serious making up”. “Sometimes you fight with the one you love and things get said, stuff spirals. That night was the deepest regret of my life, the biggest mistake … but she loves me – what can I say? I’m forgiven… but, yes, I worked hard for it.”

Chris Brown recently spent time with Rihanna in Hawaii for her 25th birthday and it looks like they will unapologetically move forward with their relationship. Is it time to finally let the couple live or do you feel Chris Brown is not off the hook just yet?
