Jay-Z Signs Timbaland To Roc Nation

Jay-Z has added Timbaland to the Roc Nation team!

Jay broke the news on his “Life & Times” blog  by posting a picture of Timbaland and himself in the studio, with the caption, “Roc Nation welcomes Timbaland to the family.”

The news comes in right on the heels of Timbo’s successful production of Justin Timberlake’s comeback single, “Suit & Tie.” 

The move makes sense, as Timbaland and Jay are old friends who have a history of making hits together.  From “Jigga What, Jigga Who,” to ”Big Pimpin’,” to “Dirt Off Your Shoulder,”  some of Jay’s most popular singles have been on Timbaland beats. 

For his part, Timbaland is an established veteran with over 20 years in the music game.  He’s worked with EVERYONE, from Aaliyah, to Missy Elliot, to Janet Jackson, Usher, Nas, Eminem, No Doubt, Timberlake, Chris Brown, the list goes on and on!

We’re excited to see what’s next on the horizon for Timbaland now that he’s a member of the Roc!
